Unilever Payroll - Project Manager

The Project Manager, i.e. IT Bites, was given the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Project Board. Whilst not a member of the board, in practice the Project Manager attended all meetings in an advisory capacity, but made no decisions.

Specific responsibility:

Manage production of required payroll products

bullet

Direct and motivate payroll project team

bullet

Plan and monitor project

bullet

Agree any delegation of Project assurance

bullet

Produce Project Initiation document

bullet

Prepare Project, Stage and Exception plans in conjunction with Team managers; Project Assurance and Project Board.

Manage project risks, including developing contingency plans in accordance with risk log

bullet

Liase with peoplelink Programme

bullet

Take responsibility for overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary.

Be responsible for change control and configuration management

bullet

Liase with Payroll Project Board via meeting, highlight reports and stage assessments

bullet

Liase with Project assurance to ensure continuity and integrity of project

bullet

Agree technical and quality strategy with Project Board

bullet

Prepare the Lessons Learned report

bullet

Prepare Follow-on Action Recommendations

bullet

Prepare End Project Report

bullet

Identify and obtain support and advice required for management, planning and control of project

bullet

Be responsible for Project administration

bullet

Liase with suppliers
