Achievements
SynopsisWith over 20 years IT experience, Steve has been managing projects, from those less than 3 months in duration to enterprise wide implementations in excess of 2 years. This has involved both in-house and 3rd party implementations, with many full cycle projects from feasibility/project definition to design and implementation. Steve has developed a broad business knowledge over the years, and can demonstrate exposure to HR, Payroll, Pension and Financials implementations. He is experienced in managing Client/Supplier relationships and is able to communicate to senior management through strategic reporting. As a Project manager, Steve is Prince2 trained and has a Masters Certificate awarded by the George Washington University in recognition of training undertaken with the PMI. He has managed teams of up to 50 people, and led projects through the full life cycle from feasibility to ‘go live’ and has a history of successful delivery. Steve is not restricted to the strategic management of a project but can also call on his vast experience where he has tackled every aspect of projects such as Functional Specification; Data Analysis; Programming; Testing and User Documentation, to name but a few, and still enjoys getting his “hands dirty”. Steve now specialises in the implementation of the PeopleSoft application, and in particular HCM/Global Payroll modules. He has worked with the product since 2000, and through a variety of consulting and contracting positions, Steve has had exposure to PeopleSoft versions from 8.x to 9.x. For Global Payroll he has his own implementation template for the benefit of clients. As well as contracting, Steve has also been involved at a consultancy level with a number of clients running PeopleSoft 8 projects. This has included providing ‘best practice’ advice on establishing project plans and scope definitions, as well as work in process design and documentation. Steve is the Director of his small consultancy firm, and has to balance his time between managing and further developing that business, as well as working as a consultant on client sites. IT Bites now boasts an impressive list of clients working with the PeopleSoft8 application, and this includes Unilever; United Nations Development Program; United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees; British American Tobacco (BAT); Spirit Group; Scottish and Newcastle Retail; Willis Group; Towers Perrin; Allen & Overy, Abbey (now Santander), Goodrich Control Systems; Marsh Corporate Services; UK Central Government; Citibank; Royal Bank of Scotland; Nationwide Building Society and Rabobank. |
