Synopsis
With IT experience since 1983, Steve
has been managing projects, from those less than 3 months in duration to
enterprise wide implementations in excess of 2 years, since 1991. This has
involved both in-house and 3rd party implementations, with many
full cycle projects from feasibility/project definition to design and
implementation.
Steve has developed a broad
business knowledge over the years, and can demonstrate exposure to HR,
Payroll, Pension and Financials implementations. He is experienced in
managing Client/Supplier relationships and is able to communicate to senior
management through strategic reporting. He also has vast experience in
providing detailed specifications.
Steve now specialises in the
implementation of the PeopleSoft application, and in particular HCM/Global
Payroll modules. He has worked with the product since 2000, and can
demonstrate true commercial experience, being involved with versions 8.01 to
8.8 and involvement in 6 PeopleSoft8 projects – commercial experience that
is difficult to match.
For nearly 2 years from 2000, Steve
worked with Unilever leading their Global Payroll implementation. This
involved creation of a green field site for the establishment of a central
Payroll Office, whereupon Unilevers existing 40+ disparate payrolls were
merged to create a single PeopleSoft8 instance. Steve led the project
through the full cycle - from Project Brief (for Finance Director) through
to go live (September 2001) and a roll-out (full service live April 2002).
Another major assignment involved
establishing a PeopleSoft Global Payroll Unit for a United Nations
organisation. This new office pays over 167 country offices via the
PeopleSoft8 application. This was followed by Initiation of another
PeopleSoft Project for an organisation of the UN.
As well as contracting, Steve has
also been involved at a consultancy level with a number of clients running
PeopleSoft 8 projects. This has included providing ‘best practice’ advice on
establishing project plans and scope definitions, as well as work in process
design and documentation.
Finally, he is Prince2 trained and
has a Masters Certificate awarded by the George Washington University in
recognition of training undertaken with the PMI.
